Man tied to Edmond kidnapping sought by Oklahoma County Deputies

An Edmond woman was kidnapped in broad daylight outside a coffee shop last month, and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is now searching for one of the alleged suspects, Kadarryus Caples. Caples and two others kidnapped the woman, robbed her of $250,000, and forced her to send them more money using a cash app. The victim was beaten, choked unconscious, and threatened with a gun during the ordeal.

Authorities have tracked Caples to Texas, where he dropped off the getaway car used in the kidnapping at a rental agency. After the incident, Caples posted pictures of himself online holding a large sum of cash and holding the gun used in the robbery. Law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma and other states are now working together to locate him.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that the victim was specifically targeted and that this was not a random kidnapping. Sheriff Tommie Johnson III stated that the victim has suffered emotional trauma and urged anyone with information about Caples or his location to contact law enforcement.

This case has garnered attention for its brazen nature and the violent tactics used by the suspects. The community is shocked by the audacity of the crime and is hopeful that law enforcement agencies will be able to apprehend Caples and bring him to justice.
