The Teamsters have announced that they will not be endorsing any candidate for president, which is a blow for Senator Kamala Harris as she becomes the first Democratic candidate in nearly thirty years not to receive the endorsement of America’s largest union. Harris is set to campaign tonight with Oprah Winfrey in a livestream event. Winfrey expressed her intention to motivate people to vote and hopes to excite them about the privilege and power of voting. She praised Harris during remarks at the Democratic convention last month. Meanwhile, President Trump will be participating in an event focused on fighting antisemitism this evening, alongside Republican donor Miriam Adelson. The Trump campaign has highlighted his support for religious freedom and Jewish communities. Trump will also speak at the Israeli-American Council’s national summit in Washington, D.C. Both events underscore the ongoing engagement of politicians in key community issues and outreach efforts.
