The tornado warning in Adair County has expired, but a tornado watch remains in effect for several counties in Northeast Oklahoma until 3 a.m. A tornado was confirmed in the Wyandotte area and moved towards Seneca, MO. Storm damage was reported on the north side of Grand Lake by News On 6 storm tracker Kevin Tillotson.
A line of strong to severe storms has moved across Oklahoma, with the main severe threats including large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes. The tornado risk is moderate initially, with a focus on damaging winds and spin-ups after midnight and into early Thursday. The tornado watch includes counties such as Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, and Muskogee.
Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer provided a general timeline for the severe threats, with the possibility of severe weather in areas such as the Tulsa Metro and I-44 corridor between 10 p.m. and noon, and southeast of Tulsa from noon to 3 a.m. Residents are advised to stay informed and take precautions as the severe weather continues to move through the region.
