SWOSU Bulldogs faced a tough 3-0 loss against (RV) Southern Arkansas despite a strong performance from Jaycee McKee in the circle. McKee pitched her first complete game of the season, striking out two Muleriders without allowing any walks. However, SAU’s ace, Brinson Rogers, shut down the Bulldog offense for the second consecutive game, striking out 12 batters but allowing five hits.
SWOSU left multiple runners on base throughout the game, missing key opportunities to score. Riley Lusk came close to a home run with a double off the wall in the sixth inning. Despite McKee’s efforts, SAU managed to secure the win with a two RBI double in the sixth inning.
Looking ahead, the Bulldogs will have a break before facing East Central in a road conference series. The first game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3:00 pm, with a doubleheader to follow on Saturday starting at noon. SWOSU will use this time to rest up and prepare for the upcoming matchups after a tough series against Southern Arkansas.
