Salem High School’s spring musical, “Oklahoma,” is set to take place this weekend, directed by Attila Samu and Lorina Moffett. The show dates are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $14 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. The cast features 37 high school students, many of whom are seniors performing on the SHS stage for the last time. The musical, based on the book “Green Grow the Lilacs” by Lynn Riggs, was written by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein and made its Broadway debut in 1943, winning a Pulitzer Prize. The film adaptation starring Shirley Jones was released in 1955. The choreographer is Camryn Mark. The musical features a talented cast including Lilly Hill, Nathan Fowler, Kisha Leland, Luke Davis, Alex DeRienzo, Lana Tonkinson, Logan Bricker, and Ina Fryfogle.
