Cyclones Suffer Defeat Against No. 19 Oklahoma State


No. 65 Iowa State Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 19 Oklahoma State on Senior Day

Ames, Iowa – The No. 65 Iowa State women’s tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 19 Oklahoma State on Senior Day. The Cyclones finished the regular season with an 11-10 overall record and a 5-8 record in conference play.

Despite a strong performance in doubles by Suzanie Pretorius and Valeska San Martin Ramirez, the Cowgirls clinched the doubles point on courts one and two. In singles, the Cyclones showed fight by winning the first set on five of the six courts. However, Oklahoma State fought back and forced third sets on four of those five courts, ultimately securing victories on courts five, two, and four to clinch the overall win.

The Cyclones will now turn their attention to the upcoming Big 12 tournament in Waco, Texas, with hopes of finishing the season on a high note. Fans can follow Iowa State Tennis on social media for all the latest updates and news.
