Two people were hospitalized after a violent crash involving a pickup truck and a tow truck in southwest Oklahoma City early Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Southwest 44th Street and Rancho Drive when a white pickup truck ran a stop sign and collided with the tow truck, causing it to burst into flames. Gasoline spilled across the roadway, fueling the fire and making cleanup efforts more difficult. A witness, Paul Scott, described the scene as a “big fireball” and mentioned that he tried to assist the driver but was advised not to move him due to the severity of the crash. Both drivers were transported to the hospital, but their conditions have not been disclosed. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area as crews work to clean up the spilled fuel. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
