2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the devastating Oklahoma City bombing, in which 168 people, including 19 children, were killed. The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, established in 2000 and 2001, aims to educate visitors about the historic impact of the attack while honoring the victims, survivors, and first responders.
To commemorate this solemn occasion, a Remembrance Ceremony will be held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on April 19, 2025, with former President Bill Clinton as the keynote speaker. The ceremony will include 168 moments of silence, a reading of the names of those killed, and remarks from survivors, family members, and community leaders. The event will be live-streamed on various platforms, and admission to the Memorial Museum will be free for the day.
Additionally, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, also known as the “Run to Remember,” will take place on April 26-27, featuring 6 races and benefiting the Memorial Museum. All event proceeds will support the museum’s mission of honoring the memory of those lost in the tragic bombing.
As the city comes together to remember the lives lost and the resilience of the community, it is a time for reflection, healing, and support for the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum’s ongoing efforts to educate and honor those affected by the attack.
