Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team finished the first day of the Big 12 Championship in second place at Southern Hills Country Club. The Cowboys opened with a 6-over 286 in the morning round and shot 1-under 279 in the afternoon round, putting them four shots behind Arizona State in the team standings. ASU’s Connor Williams leads the individual race at 136, with OSU’s Preston Stout in third at 140.
OSU’s Ethan Fang made an impressive comeback, jumping 54 spots in the standings after a morning 77 to shoot 65 in the afternoon, tying for sixth place at 142. Eric Lee and Gaven Lane are tied for 14th at 144, while Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson is tied for 23rd at 146.
The Cowboys will start the third round at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, grouped with Arizona State, TCU, and Colorado.
