Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee Awards Scholarships to Aspiring Agriculture Students

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau (OKFB) Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) committee has awarded ten $1,000 scholarships, recognizing outstanding high school seniors and a Collegiate Farm Bureau member dedicated to pursuing degrees in agriculture-related fields.

The initiative aims to support students who aspire to contribute significantly to agriculture and rural communities in Oklahoma. Jacob Beck, chair of the OKFB YF&R, expressed pride in the recipients, stating, "The agriculture industry is in good hands with this outstanding group of young leaders."

Cora Sullivan, a student at Cameron University studying animal science, received the prestigious Collegiate Farm Bureau scholarship. The nine high school recipients hail from various counties across Oklahoma, showcasing the diverse talent within the state’s agricultural sector. The high school winners are:

  • Heath Laubach, Woodward County (District 1)
  • Brayden Buchwald, Tillman County (District 2)
  • Kynseth Zubrod, Logan County (District 3)
  • Kylie Whitley, Love County (District 4)
  • Kyree Donaldson, McCurtain County (District 5)
  • Lynlee McCurry, Mayes County (District 6)
  • Zander Peeper, Garfield County (District 7)
  • Hudson Andrews, McClain County (District 8)
  • Kale Robison, Payne County (District 9)

These promising students plan to further their education at institutions including Oklahoma State University, Western Oklahoma State College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, and Murray State College, with intentions to study various fields such as agricultural business, soil science, animal science, agricultural education, and biosystems engineering.

The scholarship program reflects OKFB YF&R’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders in Oklahoma.
