Authorities believe they have recovered the bodies of three girls who went missing during a fishing trip on the Missouri River in Omaha, Nebraska, last month. The girls—Lah Tray Moo, 18, Laiana Green, 18, and Eh Cress Moo, 11—were reported missing on April 15 while with a 13-year-old relative, who was unharmed. The body of Lah Tray Moo was discovered by a passerby at NP Dodge Park on Saturday, and the Omaha Police Department confirmed her identity. Coby Werner, a battalion chief, suggested that the search teams could find the other girls nearby due to river currents pushing bodies downstream.
On Tuesday night, authorities confirmed the recovery of two additional bodies, believed to be Laiana Green and Eh Cress Moo. Autopsies are pending to confirm their identities, but they are presumed to be the remaining missing girls. Eh Cress Moo would have celebrated her 12th birthday on April 22.
The Omaha Fire Department expressed condolences on social media, stating that the loss has deeply affected the community. A GoFundMe campaign has been established for the Moo family to cover funeral expenses, with the family describing the situation as a “nightmare.” They expressed gratitude for the support received during this tragic time.
