Ruthie Ritchie Crowned Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2025
Norman, OK – Ruthie Ritchie, a student at the University of Oklahoma, has been crowned Miss Oklahoma Teen USA 2025, marking a significant achievement after years of dedication to the pageant circuit. “I don’t even remember being in my body in that moment. Let me tell you how excited I was,” Ritchie expressed, reflecting on her victory after being first runner-up for two consecutive years.
Ritchie has chosen food insecurity as her platform during her reign. Hailing from Memphis, a city historically impacted by food scarcity, she was shocked to discover that one in four children in Oklahoma face hunger. “It’s especially concerning as we head into summer, when kids lose access to school lunches,” she noted.
Her mission aims to support both younger students and college peers grappling with food insecurity. “I want to educate younger students about the issue and how they can volunteer in their communities, as well as assist college students dealing with financial hardships and navigating student loans.”
Recently, Ritchie took part in the Oklahoma Farmers Public Market, distributing informational flyers on food insecurity and ways the community can help. “We need people to support in different ways,” she said.
As she looks forward to competing in the Miss Teen USA pageant, the date yet to be announced, Ritchie is busy preparing for various competitions, including interviews, evening gown appearances, and fitness challenges. She plans to design a custom gown and is committed to balancing her pageant responsibilities with schoolwork. “This year, balance has really been a priority,” she concluded, emphasizing the importance of managing personal life alongside her title and academic commitments.
