Impact Oklahoma Set to Award $250,000 to Local Nonprofits in Annual Celebration
Oklahoma City, OK – Impact Oklahoma, a dynamic collective giving organization composed of women from central Oklahoma, is gearing up to grant over $250,000 to local nonprofits during its annual celebration on May 15 at the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Founded by Paige Beatty after discovering a similar initiative in Cincinnati, Impact Oklahoma has transformed community giving by pooling member donations to create substantial grants. “So Impact Oklahoma is a collective giving group. We are made up of women, which is wonderful. I like to say we’re a force to be reckoned with,” Beatty stated, emphasizing the significance of their contributions. The organization primarily awards transformational grants of $100,000, which have propelled many local nonprofits to new heights.
As a volunteer-led board, Impact Oklahoma has established a streamlined process for grant distribution. Board member Laurie Weathers highlighted the collective effort involved: “We’ll probably have over $250,000 that we’ll be giving out. So, we’ll award two $100,000 grants, and the runners-up will share the remaining funds.”
During the May 15 event, representatives from five nonprofit finalists will present their projects, and attendees will vote on the top recipients. Since its inception, Impact Oklahoma has awarded nearly $4.5 million in total grants, significantly impacting local communities.
