High School Baseball State Championship Tournaments Kick Off in Oklahoma
Starting Thursday, May 15, Oklahoma will host its annual high school state championship tournaments for baseball across six classifications, including 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A-I, and 2A-II. The tournaments, organized by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA), will culminate in championship games on Saturday, May 17, at various locations.
The action begins at Jenks High School for the Class 6A tournament, featuring matchups like Stillwater versus Piedmont at 11 a.m. and Broken Arrow taking on Edmond Santa Fe at 1:30 p.m. The semi-finals will also occur on Friday before the final at OneOK Stadium in Tulsa.
At Sapulpa High School, the Class 5A teams will compete, with notable games such as Noble facing Claremore at 11 a.m. The championship for this category is also set for OneOK Stadium on Saturday, starting at 10:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, Norman North High School will host the Class 4A games, where Blanchard will go against North Rock Creek. The finals will shift to Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
The Class 3A tournament will take place at Noble High School, kicking off the day’s first game between Marlow and Jones at 11 a.m., with finals held at Bricktown Ballpark later in the day.
Seminole State College and Shawnee High School will be the venues for the 2A-I and 2A-II tournaments, respectively, featuring games from 11 a.m. onward and concluding with final matchups later that Saturday.
