Coach Paul Maurice noted that the team’s energy levels are higher than in previous seasons. Two players, Sam Reinhart and Gustav Forsling, have been pivotal during this period, each participating in 303 games, aiming to surpass Phil Kessel’s record of 307 games played over three years.
The Oilers are also on track to increase their games played, marking their 300th in the last three years by Game 1 against the Panthers. Edmonton, like Florida, has benefited from depth, evidenced by having 19 different goal scorers in the playoffs.
