Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio—In a significant move to bolster national defense and drive economic growth, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Commander Brig. With a budget of $9.5 billion, complemented by an additional $3 billion in externally funded research, the lab covers critical technology areas vital for modern warfare.

Brig. Gen. Bartolomei highlighted the importance of partnerships in achieving the lab’s mission of advancing technologies for the Air Force and Space Force. "With our win-together mindset, we can bring the future faster for our nation and communities," he asserted.

The signing ceremony also featured representatives from the Dayton Development Coalition, emphasizing the potential for economic development stemming from the technology-sharing initiative. Governor DeWine reaffirmed state support for Intel’s commitment to invest in Ohio, noting the $8 billion already committed as part of broader technology advancements.

This renewed partnership signifies a step toward enhanced national security and economic vitality in Ohio, paving the way for innovation and growth in the region.
