Sidebar at Whiskey Row Celebrates a Decade of Unique Burgers and Community Spirit
LOUISVILLE, KY – For 12 years, Sidebar at Whiskey Row has carved a niche in downtown Louisville with its creatively named burgers such as “Death Penalty” and “Ambulance Chaser.” Located at 129 N. 2nd St., the restaurant pays homage to the late attorney and magician Larry Jones, featuring law-themed decor and names that celebrate the city’s heritage.
General Manager Lissa Ramos, who has been with Sidebar since its inception, highlights the “Ambulance Chaser” as a standout favorite. This savory creation blends certified Angus beef with bourbon barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and crispy tobacco onions, all nestled between a soft brioche bun. Every burger is consistently served medium to ensure quality.
The restaurant thrives by maintaining high standards amidst a changing downtown landscape and is known for introducing a different specialty burger each month. For June, the establishment has unveiled a Rainbow Float, featuring citrus sherbet and rainbow sprinkles, in celebration of Pride Month, alongside a refreshing drink special.
In addition to its burger offerings, Sidebar provides an array of salads, appetizers like pimento cheese fritters, and various fries, including fried dill pickle and sweet potato fries. The bar boasts a wide selection of bourbons and unique cocktails such as a salted espresso martini.
