OU Celebrates Academic Excellence with 129 Student-Athletes Named to SEC Honor Roll
The University of Oklahoma proudly announced that 129 student-athletes have earned a spot on the 2025 Spring Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Honor Roll, as released by the SEC office. This recognition is awarded to athletes participating in championship sports such as baseball, golf, softball, tennis, and track and field, based on their academic performance during the 2024 summer, fall, and spring terms.
Highlighted in this impressive roster are 56 student-athletes from the track and field program, 32 from rowing, and notable representation from baseball (11) and softball (8), along with strong showings in men’s (6) and women’s golf (6) and men’s tennis (3).
Since joining the SEC in July 2024, OU has celebrated a total of 278 Academic Honor Roll selections. To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.00 or higher, fulfill certain participation criteria, and have completed requisite academic credits toward their degrees.
Among the honorees, standout names include student-athletes excelling in diverse academic fields, ranging from sports business and criminal justice to biology and psychology.
The achievement underscores OU’s commitment to fostering not just athletic skill but also academic excellence.
