OU Star Freshman Elle Mueller Captivates Crowd with Stellar Performance

Norman, OK—Oklahoma’s Elle Mueller has quickly become a sensation in collegiate gymnastics, impressing fans and judges alike with her dazzling performances during her freshman debut. Each time Mueller steps onto the mat, she consistently delivers a captivating blend of storytelling, artistry, and exuberant choreography that leaves audiences in awe.

Her standout routine, set to "You Don’t Own Me" as performed by Harley Quinn, has garnered recognition for its perfect alignment with both her personality and her dynamic performance style. Under the guidance of OU head coach KJ Kindler, Mueller has developed the confidence to fully embrace her artistry and express herself through movement. As she reflected on the routine, she expressed a hint of nostalgia, saying, “I guess I need to start looking for new music!” indicating how special this performance has been to her.

Mueller credited her early experiences at Twin City Twisters for shaping her artistic identity. "Working with a dance coach on facial expressions opened me up to the artistry," she recalls. Inspired by Kindler’s vision, she fully embodied the character of Harley Quinn, turning a long-held dream into reality.

The support from her teammates has played a pivotal role in her transformation from rookie to seasoned performer. “It was incredible,” Mueller said, emphasizing the collective spirit that fueled her confidence. "You do it for your team. It reminds you how much support you really have."

The high-energy atmosphere culminated last month at the NCAA Championships, where Mueller further showcased her talent, earning high praise from former Olympian Aly Raisman, who described her performance as “breathtaking.” With this winning debut, the future looks bright for Elle Mueller and the Oklahoma gymnastics program.
